Don’t Quit, Keep Arising.

I recently returned from Washington DC where I was a part of the Call Rise Up. Thousands of women and a good number of men were crying out for revival in America.  Lou Engle, founder of The Call, shared at one point 21,000 people were at the Mall in DC praying and crying out just that Monday. Online of course the number increased to millions all over the world. During my flight home I imagined how the sound of thousands and millions joined together praying sounded in heaven? What did it sound like to God? I am sure it was music to His ears. What did it sound like on earth? It sounded like a roar of thousands of women who knew God had called them for such a time as this! Women of God we have ARISEN!!

The dictionary defines “ARISE” as the following: “(of a problem, opportunity, or situation) emerge; become apparent. To get or stand up.” This is what we have done in this hour as women of God. The word of the Lord for us in this hour is also Jesus’ message found in Matthew 7:7-8. Don’t quit!! Jesus doesn’t say these exact words, but He does say; “Keep asking, keep searching, and keep knocking.” In verse 11 He says why—because our God in heaven is a good father and thus knows how to give good gifts. I like to think of it this way; my Daddy in heaven is too good for me to quit now! As I write this, I think about a woman who reached out to me and shared she is tempted to quit on her marriage. There are issues, negative situations, and even problems that all yell just quit! But these are opportunities for us to do what we already have done and stay “ARISEN!”  Some of us may feel like we have not arisen yet. I want to tell you if you are in Christ Jesus you have already arisen. Romans 6:4 says we have been buried with Christ in baptism and we now walk in newness of life because He was raised up from death! We are and remain arisen to the new. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says since we are in Christ the old is gone. Old thought patterns, old arguments, old failures; old fallen conditions are all gone. Only the newness of Christ is here. That newness says you have arisen! You are standing! Ephesians 6:11,13b- 14 confirms saying “that you may be able to stand…having done all, to stand…Stand therefore...”

Women of God remain in your position which is one you received when you came to Jesus. Keep standing, keep arising, keep walking forward in the power and might of the Lord God. God meant for us to keep arising for it says in Psalm 18:33 He gave us feet so we can climb. We were meant to climb, to arise, to go higher. Our feet in the Spirit have power to climb heights. Our bodies in the power of the Spirit can resist the pressure to go down and go low. The only low place I abide in is in the place of humility. I do not believe we are called to live and dwell in anything that is not heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Our calling since the beginning of time has been to arise and remain arisen! “And God raised us up with Christ…” (Ephesians 2:6a)

I challenge you to call a woman who God puts in your heart today and encourage them with this word. Pray for them and tell them how in Christ they are already standing and coming out of any difficult circumstance. Find a prayer partner who you can encourage and whom can encourage you to keep climbing, arising, and standing.  The momentum of prayer continues throughout the whole nation and the world. We remain standing and arising! Don’t quit, keep arising! I love you mighty women of God and will keep you in my prayers! “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.”-John 17:15
